Welcome to the home of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB®) Memphis Chapter. With over thirty years of existence in this great city, our membership includes an array of real estate industry related professionals in the Mid-South. Our membership includes residential and commercial real estate sales agents and brokers, loan officers and mortgage brokers, title companies, appraisers, insurance agents, developers and more. We focus our professional practices on serving the needs of the underserved. Our members are called "REALTISTS®", a term which incorporates the many disciplines we represent. Although composed principally of African Americans, the REALTIST® organization embraces all qualified real estate practitioners who are committed to achieving the ideals of our vision, which is "Democracy in Housing".

During Black History Month, the Memphis Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc. wanted to take an opportunity to reflect on the rich history of our great organization. It is in this spirit that we unveiled the NAREB History365 Blog site. This blog is designed to be an interactive approach to engaging the membership in a conversation that is anchored with memories and experiences that could only be told by our very own. Many of the milestones and strides made by our organization may never reach the history books or the front page of any newspaper. However, we know that our toil is never in vein. As we continue, even today, in 2011, to foster a commitment to “democracy in housing”, it is a must that we recognize, reflect, and give honor to those who began paving the way for our communities more than sixty years ago.
I encourage full participation by our membership, both past and present, as we begin to challenge ourselves to protect our past, prepare our members, and rededicate ourselves to protecting our communities.
